Shared living requires shared responsibility. The chore rotation system at RiseTNhousing properties ensures that common areas are maintained fairly by all residents. Participation in assigned chores is a condition of residency.
The chore rotation system promotes accountability, cleanliness, and mutual respect among residents. Completing assigned chores helps maintain a healthy living environment and reduces conflict over shared spaces.
Chore rotations may include, depending on the property:
Chores must be completed to a reasonable standard of cleanliness. Staff or the house coordinator may require re-completion of chores done inadequately. Residents should report supplies needed for chores to staff promptly.
Repeated failure to complete assigned chores may result in written warnings, make-up chore assignments, probationary status, or lease enforcement action. Chronic non-participation undermines the community and is not acceptable.
