NARR Certified

Rise Recovery Residences — the housing program operated by RiseTN — is certified by TN-ARR, one of only two organizations approved by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS) to certify recovery residences in the state. TN-ARR is the state affiliate of NARR, the National Alliance for Recovery Residences.

Certification is not something a residence can claim for itself — it is earned through an application, a training and standards review, and an on-site assessment against NARR's published standard. Our certified residence is designated NARR Level 2 (Monitored), a home with an on-site house manager and more structure and accountability than a purely peer-run residence, with outside mutual-support and clinical services available to residents as needed.

Why This Matters for Referral Partners and Families

Certification gives case managers, courts, and treatment providers an independently verified way to know a residence meets a real standard — not just a marketing claim. Under Tennessee's Public Chapter 406, recovery residence certification has been legally required since January 1, 2026, and licensed providers, courts, and judges may refer residents to certified residences like ours.
